If you are in crisis and cannot keep your child at home for a short period of time, you can enter into a voluntary foster care agreement to put your child in care. The purpose of these services is to help you take care of your child at home. But if your child can`t be cared for at home, you may be able to get an agreement on special needs. You can often conclude these agreements through collaborative planning and decision-making. Emergency assistance: $225 per month The Ministry of Child and Family Development (MCFD) is setting up an emergency fund for children and youth with special needs and their families. Over the next three months (until June 30, 2020), the Fund will provide a direct payment of $225 per month to eligible families. Assistance service agreements can last up to six months.
