Given the progress made in concluding the agreement under Article 1, paragraph 4, and Article 2, paragraph 1 of this Protocol, the United Kingdom may, at any time before 1 July 2020, request the renewal of the transitional period under Article 126 of the withdrawal agreement. If the United Kingdom makes such a request, the transitional period may be extended in accordance with Article 132 of the withdrawal agreement. In order to facilitate the most efficient transfer of these equipment, the United Kingdom and the Community are taking the necessary legal steps to free the Community from its obligations and commitments arising from the agreement reached on 25 March 1994 with British Nuclear Fuels PLC (now Sellafield Ltd). The notification must indicate the provisions that the complainant intends to suspend. Before deciding to suspend parts of an agreement covered in point (b), the complainant first considers whether the suspension of the provision of this agreement in point (a) would be an appropriate response to the offence. Any stay is proportionate to the breach of the undertaking at issue, given the seriousness of the violation and the rights at issue and, if the stay is based on the respondent`s continued non-compliance with the arbitration panel`s recourse under section 173, if the respondent was bound and paid or is still paid by the respondent. “custody” means custody of children within the meaning of Article 2 of Regulation (EC) No. 2201/2003 (6), including agreement obtained through termination, legal protection or valid agreement. Such an agreement can be obtained by any type of communication. Agreements between Member States concluded as EU Member States; 2. Following the notification by the United Kingdom and the Union of the effective date of the agreements covered in paragraph 1, the joint committee established by Article 164 (the “joint committee”) sets the date from which the provisions of this title apply to nationals of Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Kingdom of Norway and the Swiss Confederation. 2. In the event of disagreement between the EU and the United Kingdom over the reasonable period of time to comply with the arbitration panel`s decision, the complainant asks in writing to the arbitration panel to stop the reasonable period of time within forty days of the respondent`s notification.

This request is notified to the respondent at the same time. The arbitration panel notifies the EU and the United Kingdom of its decision on the deadline for compliance within 40 days of filing the application. As soon as the EU informed the United Kingdom in the Joint Committee, as soon as the Union informed the United Kingdom, the Joint Committee adopted a decision that inserts the newly adopted act into the relevant annex of this protocol; or (b) if it is not possible to reach an agreement on the inclusion of the newly adopted act in the relevant annex of this protocol, consider any other possibility of maintaining the proper functioning of this protocol and make all necessary decisions to do so.
